Blocklike Privacy Policy

Blocklike (the “app”) is an iPhone game developed by Andrii Nakonechnyi (“we”, “us”). This policy explains which data the app and the services built into it handle, why, and which choices you have.

• No account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts or photos.
• Your progress is stored on your device and, if you turn it on, in your own iCloud.
• Ads are served by Google AdMob and usage analytics by TelemetryDeck, both described below.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.

1. Data stored on your device

The app keeps your game progress in its own storage on your device: scores and statistics, unlocked perks and skins, coins and gems, settings, daily-run history, tutorial state and the identifiers of in-app purchases that have already been applied. This data never leaves the device except as described in sections 2, 4 and 6. Deleting the app deletes it.

2. iCloud sync

If iCloud is enabled for Blocklike on your device (system Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud), the same progress is mirrored to the key-value storage of your personal iCloud account so that it can be restored on another device signed in with the same Apple Account. This copy is stored by Apple under your account; we have no access to it. Apple’s privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows rewarded video ads (only when you choose to watch one, for example to continue a run, double the coins of a run or reroll a perk offer) and interstitial ads between runs. They are delivered by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To deliver, personalise (where allowed) and measure ads, Google may collect:

• device identifiers: the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking (see below), otherwise identifiers that cannot be used across apps;
• your IP address, from which an approximate (city-level) location is derived;
• device and app information such as model, operating system version, language and app version;
• interactions with ads: impressions, clicks and video completion;
• diagnostics of the ad components: crash logs that are not tied to you and performance data such as load times.

Tracking permission. Before ads are enabled, iOS asks whether Blocklike may track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline, or later turn it off in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, the advertising identifier is not used and ads are not personalised. The game works exactly the same either way.

Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and privacy options in certain US states. Before any ad loads, a consent form provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform explains your choices. You can change them at any time in Blocklike → Settings → Privacy options (the entry appears where such a form is required).

Remove ads. The one-time “Remove ads” purchase permanently disables interstitial ads. Rewarded ads remain available as an optional choice.

Google’s obligations. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy and its publisher terms, which oblige it to protect the data at least as strongly as this policy describes.

4. Usage analytics (TelemetryDeck)

To understand how the game is played and to find problems, the app sends anonymous usage signals to TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany): app launched, tutorial completed, run started, daily run played, perk picked (perk, rarity and level), continue used (with an ad or with gems), ad shown (placement) and purchase completed (product identifier). Each signal carries technical details such as app version, iOS version, device model and system language. TelemetryDeck identifies an installation only by a salted hash that cannot be turned back into your device identifier (it is hashed again with a second salt on their servers), it never stores IP addresses, and its servers are located in the European Union. No personal data is included in these signals, and TelemetryDeck is bound to keep it that way. Details: telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

5. In-app purchases

Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. The app receives only the identifier of the product you bought and a transaction identifier, which it uses to unlock the purchase and to restore it later on your devices. We never receive your name, card number or other payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the app submits your daily-run and best scores to Game Center leaderboards and reports achievements under your Game Center profile. Leaderboards inside the app show the Game Center display names and scores of other players. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Signing out of Game Center in the system Settings stops this; the game stays fully playable.

7. Sharing a result

The share button on the game-over screen creates an image of your result on the device. It leaves the app only if you send it through the iOS share sheet to an app or contact you choose.

8. Children

Blocklike is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The ad configuration is that of a general-audience app.

9. Legal bases, transfers and retention

• Legal bases (where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies): your consent for personalised advertising and the tracking permission (Article 6(1)(a)); our legitimate interest in showing non-personalised ads that fund a free game, in preventing fraud and in understanding anonymous usage (Article 6(1)(f)); and the performance of the purchase contract for in-app purchases (Article 6(1)(b)).
• Transfers: Google LLC processes advertising data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses; TelemetryDeck processes anonymous analytics in the European Union; Apple processes purchases, Game Center and iCloud under its own policy. Every third party named in this policy is bound by its own privacy policy and by contract to protect your data at least as strongly as this policy describes.
• Retention: game progress stays on your device until you delete the app, and the iCloud copy stays inside your own iCloud account (see section 10); advertising data is kept by Google according to its published retention periods (policies.google.com/technologies/retention); TelemetryDeck keeps only anonymous aggregate statistics; email you send us is kept only as long as needed to answer you.
• We do not sell personal information. Where personalised advertising counts as “sharing” under US state privacy laws, you can opt out with the tracking prompt, with Blocklike → Settings → Privacy options, or in Google’s ad settings.

10. Your choices and rights

• Personalised ads: decline tracking in the iOS prompt or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; adjust consent in Blocklike → Settings → Privacy options; manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
• Delete your data: delete the app to remove everything stored on the device. The iCloud copy exists only inside your own iCloud account and is never visible to us; turning off iCloud for Blocklike (iOS Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud) stops the sync, and the copy disappears together with your iCloud data for the app. Write to us if you need help with it.
• Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA and the UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data about you, to object to it, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We do not hold personal data about you ourselves; requests concerning advertising or analytics data are best addressed to Google or TelemetryDeck through the links above; contact us if you need help.

11. Changes to this policy

We will publish updates on this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes are also mentioned in the app’s release notes.

12. This website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may record the IP addresses of visitors in its server logs for security, under the GitHub Privacy Statement. The site itself sets no cookies, loads no third-party resources and runs no analytics; your light-or-dark theme choice is stored only in your browser.
